Welcome
to St Thomas' website.
St
Thomas is an attractive Georgian Church to be found
in the town centre of Stourbridge, affectionately known
as "St Thomas' opposite Waitrose".
Its
worship and tradition is liberal catholic,but it is
also a place where we hope people are challenged by
the gospel teaching (see services).
The
church was founded to serve the townspeople of Stourbridge
and built by public subscription. It was here for over
100 years before being fully incorporated into the structures
of the Church of England (see History).
The
present congregation is of a good age and social mix
and very welcoming and can be met at coffee after the
Sunday morning service. The church also has a fine musical
tradition (see Music).
We
